Why We Love Encino
Encino is situated in the central part of the south San Fernando Valley, on the slopes of the Santa Monica Mountains. Encino has its own Los Encinos State Historic Park, where Spanish explorers first stayed as they explored California in 1769. The park includes the original nine room de la Osa Adobe, the Garnier Building, a blacksmith shop, a pond, and a natural spring, all spread across five acres. Encino is home to a number of LAUSD public elementary schools as well as nine private schools. This kid-friendly area is also home to a bunch of parks and recreation. The Sepulveda Dam includes the Woodley Worel/Magnus Cricket Complex, Encino and Balboa golf courses, and the Balboa Sports Complex that includes a baseball diamond, basketball courts, a children's play area, community room, and more.
Fresh Brothers loves Encino for it's laid-back, family-friendly vibes. Everything in Encino seems to be centered around getting outside, getting active, and having fun. We adore providing this area with quick, tasty bites for after any sports practice or long hike along the Upper Canyonback Trailhead or the Garden Land Trailhead. Looking for more arts and culture? Encino is close to the historic Nike Base, Skirball Cultural Center, the Getty, and the Valley Relics Museum. There’s also the Slow Children at Play comedy club, which features local improv groups. Candy Land Amusement Park, Sherman Oaks Castle Park, and the Sky Zone Trampoline Park are all open nearby for extra fun.
