The Fresh Brothers Story
The Fresh Brothers story starts in Chicago with the Goldberg brothers, Adam and Scott. Scott opened the Miller Pizza Company in 1985, embracing Chicago-style pizza. With the goal of taking Chicago to the coast, brother Adam and his wife Debbie opened the first Fresh Brothers in SoCal in 2008. They combined their family recipes with fresh ingredients, putting a California twist on traditional pizza. This old-school pizza with upgraded nutrition was a hit, and Fresh Brothers only grew from there.Learn More
Why We Love Inglewood
Deep in the heart of Los Angeles County is the city of Inglewood. It's known for being populated and bustling, and this city is called home by over one hundred thousand people. Inglewood is just east of the Los Angeles International Airport, and is therefore considered part of the South Bay region like its neighbors — Hawthorne, Gardena, Lawndale, Lomita, Carson, Lennox, Del Aire, and more — are. With such a rich history, incredible central location, and friendly community, we at Fresh Brothers couldn't be happier to serve the residents of Inglewood fresh, tasty pizza made with all-natural ingredients each and every day. Once farmland used for raising cattle as part of a rancho, Inglewood has certainly come a long way from being undeveloped land. It's now flourishing as a residential area, and also sports many small brick-and-mortar businesses alongside commercial space. The neighborhood is known for particularly valuing arts and culture. This can be seen in the city's Arts and Culture Programs for music, dance, and performing arts, all of which are supported by the Inglewood Cultural Arts. Inglewood is also home to the hotspot Open Studios, which has galleries and showrooms for local artists. They can be rented out, and include space for drawings, paintings, photography, and more. And of course, who could forget the Southeast Symphony Association? In addition, the local Civic Center features the main library for those who reside in Inglewood. Fresh Brothers adores this area's many schools and family-oriented atmosphere, and appreciate how close-knit this diverse community is.
Located in the heart of southwestern Los Angeles County is the city of Inglewood. It's contained within the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, and is a notably busy area. With a population of just over 100,000 people across its nine square miles of land, Inglewood experiences a population density of nearly 12,000 per square mile! This city is close to the Los Angeles International Airport, and a part of the South Bay region of the county. Nearby neighborhoods include Lennox, Westmont, Hawthorne, Westchester, Park Mesa Heights, and Ladera Heights. The city of Inglewood is located inland, and the geographical region experiences a mild Mediterranean climate all year long. Because of its positioning, there's little to no ocean breezes. Residents enjoy long, hot summer days, and mild, temperate winters.
Much like the rest of Los Angeles, Inglewood was originally settled in the late 1800s by Spanish soldiers and explorers, notably Jose Manuel Orchado Machado. It was described as lush due to the Centinela Springs, where one of the city's first adobes was built. Later, the area surrounding Inglewood was established by the developing Centinela-Inglewood Land Company in 1887. As trains grew as an American mode of transport, the Ballona Railroad Line helped make Inglewood more residential. The town was known for its Inglewood Park Cemetery, which was widely used for the entire LA region. In addition, Fosters Freeze first soft serve ice cream was founded here in 1946, and The Forum, built in 1967, was one of the biggest concert venues, both driving popularity.
Fresh Brothers serves all of the greater Los Angeles area; providing delicious pizza and other menu items made with fresh, all-natural ingredients is just what we do! With that said, Fresh Brothers especially adores Inglewood, and it's because of the people that this area is truly special. Inglewood is historically known for being diverse, and is the melting pot of many cultures and ethnicities. Their diversity adds an irreplaceable communal richness to the neighborhood, which everyone enjoys and gathers to celebrate. The community is close-knit, and residents report often feeling a family-like togetherness. Like Inglewood has done for so many years, the area is growing with excitement and change, and the people of Inglewood look forward to watching the city continue to prosper and blossom.
Inglewood has plenty to do for visitors stopping by and long-time residents alike. Inglewood's history can be viewed at the 19th century Centinela Adobe, which offers weekly tours. The Civic Center in the southeastern corner of the city has the main library, which residents enjoy stopping by. The Arts and Culture Programs Inglewood Cultural Arts, Inc. has been providing the area with music, dance, and performing arts since 1997, and there's Open Studios with galleries and showrooms. Soon, the LA Rams' and LA Chargers' new home, the SoFi Stadium, will be completed in 2020. Due to its central location, many neighboring attractions are also the favorites of Inglewood residents, including the Hollywood Park Casino, Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area, Dockweiler Beach, Ballona Creek, and more
Fresh Brothers believes in feel-good pizza, and that means going beyond the pie. In addition to providing out neighborhoods with nutritious, all-natural pizza, we also play an active role in the community. Each year, we donate thousands of pizzas, helping to raise money for schools, veterans, and nonprofits. Serving up happiness, one slice at a time.Learn More
