The Fresh Brothers Story
The Fresh Brothers story starts in Chicago with the Goldberg brothers, Adam and Scott. Scott opened the Miller Pizza Company in 1985, embracing Chicago-style pizza. With the goal of taking Chicago to the coast, brother Adam and his wife Debbie opened the first Fresh Brothers in SoCal in 2008. They combined their family recipes with fresh ingredients, putting a California twist on traditional pizza. This old-school pizza with upgraded nutrition was a hit, and Fresh Brothers only grew from there.Learn More
Why We Love Laguna Niguel
Fresh Brothers serves a lot of communities, but Laguna Niguel certainly holds a special spot in our hearts. This predominantly residential area with its many upscale neighborhoods is often hungry, and Fresh Brothers is happy to lend a helping hand when a craving for pizza hits! The city serves as a bedroom community, meaning that those who work for larger corporations across Orange County often take up residence in Laguna Niguel. It's notably safe, walkable, and friendly, which is why so many choose to settle here. Once a place for large orchards and farming, Laguna Niguel still preserves its outdoorsy roots through 80 miles of scenic trails, expansive public spaces, and roads marked as scenic routes. Of course, there's certainly less agriculture, but the sentiment remains! There's pleasant weather year-round, and residents enjoy hiking, biking, camping, and horseback riding through the miles of trails. There's Laguna Niguel Regional Park for outdoor adventuring, and also Crown Valley Park, with Laguna Niguel's main public sports facilities. Laguna Niguel holds annual festivals to bring the community together, like Soka University's International Festival, as well as seasonal events around the holidays and during the summer. Residents especially look forward to the lighting of Laguna Niguel's Christmas Tree and Menorah during the winter months, celebrating their multicultural neighborhood. The rest of the year, you'll find impressive art exhibits and notable film showings. Additionally, Laguna Niguel is close to Laguna Beach, and residents visit for summer festivals, summer concerts, beach day activities, and more.
Laguna Niguel is a sizable city located in the southeast corner of Orange County. It's situated just south of the cities of both Los Angeles and Irvine. It's located amongst the San Joaquin Hills. Additionally, Laguna Niguel borders South Laguna and Monarch Beach, with their iconic beaches and marine areas. In fact, Laguna Niguel's name comes from its aquatic origins: "Laguna" is Spanish for "lagoon," and "Niguili" is the origin of "Niguel," named after a Native American village once settled on the nearby Aliso Creek. Laguna Niguel has an impressive population of 66,000 people, and those that reside here enjoy a mild climate year-round in this master-planned community. Its location includes numerous parks and public trails like Salt Corridor Regional Park and Laguna Niguel Regional Park.
Once the home to Native Americans, Laguna Niguel was later settled by explorers. Like much of the greater Southern California area, Laguna Niguel became a part of the Rancho Niguel Mexican land grant. The farmland faced a huge drought in the 1800s, forcing the owners into debt. It was acquired by the Moulton Company, which established Laguna Niguel's extensive orchards and sheep grazing spaces. Interstate 5 was eventually established, creating easy access to Los Angeles County. Eventually, Laguna Niguel was acquired by the Laguna Niguel Corporation in 1959. From there, the city experienced a boom in the housing market due to being a predominantly residential area created through master planning. It's now a bedroom community that serves as residential space for those who work throughout Orange County.
There's a lot to love about Laguna Niguel. After all, there is a reason over 66,000 people live there! But even with upscale neighborhoods, a mild coastal climate, and plenty to do, Fresh Brothers' favorite part about Laguna Niguel will always be the people who live here and strengthen this community daily. Those that reside here are kind and outgoing, and this neighborhood feels welcoming to everyone — locals and visitors alike. With so much open space here, it's no surprise that the residents of Laguna Niguel are outdoorsy, taking advantage of the year-round pleasant weather by visiting the beach or one of Laguna Niguel's many parks. In addition to hiking, biking, and more, the cultured people of Laguna Niguel enjoy annual art, film, and international festivals.
With such a close proximity to the beach and a multitude of outdoor spaces, getting outside should certainly be on your bucket list for the next time you visit this coastal town. While large in size, Laguna Niguel isn't over-developed. In fact, more than 1/3 of the land is public open space, and they have over 80 miles of scenic trails! Fresh Brothers' favorite spots are the Laguna Niguel Regional Park, Laguna Niguel Lake, and the trails through Badlands County Park with geological formations. Checking out Summit Trail, Niguel Botanical Reserve, and Salt Creek are definitely must-sees as well. For the less outdoorsy, there are also plenty of nearby festivals celebrating a variety of themes, including Soka University's Annual International Festival, and Laguna Beach's Summer Festivals.
Fresh Brothers believes in feel-good pizza, and that means going beyond the pie. In addition to providing out neighborhoods with nutritious, all-natural pizza, we also play an active role in the community. Each year, we donate thousands of pizzas, helping to raise money for schools, veterans, and nonprofits. Serving up happiness, one slice at a time.Learn More
