The Fresh Brothers Story
The Fresh Brothers story starts in Chicago with the Goldberg brothers, Adam and Scott. Scott opened the Miller Pizza Company in 1985, embracing Chicago-style pizza. With the goal of taking Chicago to the coast, brother Adam and his wife Debbie opened the first Fresh Brothers in SoCal in 2008. They combined their family recipes with fresh ingredients, putting a California twist on traditional pizza. This old-school pizza with upgraded nutrition was a hit, and Fresh Brothers only grew from there.Learn More
Why We Love Los Angeles
Los Angeles is a city that hardly needs an introduction. If you're reading this, it's likely that you're already acquainted with the city, and just wondering which aspects of it are our favorite! Lucky for you, we at Fresh Brothers are familiar with L.A., and know exactly which parts will make you fall in love with the city. Popular for its prevalence in the entertainment industry, Los Angeles all things film, but also contains so much more. Fresh Brothers personally loves Los Angeles for its diversity, sense of community, and ongoing excitement. There's plenty to do here, and boredom is not a word in the vocabulary of Los Angeles' residents. Visitors tend to hike to the Hollywood sign, visit The Getty and Griffith Observatory, and explore all the coastal cities that line the outskirts of the city. For a culture-filled day, we recommend LACMA, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Capitol Records Building, the Dolby Theatre, and a stroll down Hollywood Boulevard. It's never been easier to learn about a city's history while getting awesome photo opportunities. (Did someone say pink wall?) Of course, these are just the most popular, and L.A. is filled with endless museums, hikes, and tours. It's true that the people of Los Angeles are different from anywhere else, and you'll often encounter aspiring industry members bringing big personalities to their current day jobs. With so many neighborhoods, it's impossible to generalize the LA population. What is true though is that this populous city is friendly and talkative, always ready to welcome visitors with open arms!
Stunning beaches, mountainous trails, and a cultured and artistic lifestyle — it's no surprise Los Angeles is the most populous city in California! To put that in perspective, not only is it the biggest in California, but L.A. is the second most populous city in the entire United States. Nearly four million people live in this valley-like basin along the gorgeous Pacific Ocean. This city's interesting topography contains both mountains and deserts, giving rise to an eclectic mix of ecosystems. The San Gabriel Mountains with high point Mount San Antonio tower over the city, and the Los Angeles River runs through it seasonally. The diversity of habitats means a rich group of native plants and many microclimates, all of which attribute to Los Angeles' popularity that is driven by places that suit everyone's preferences.
In 1542, the area that would become Los Angeles was claimed by Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo. By 1781, Los Angeles was founded by a Spanish governor, claimed as Mexican territory in the Mexican War of Independence. Later, the land was purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, making Los Angeles a part of the United States. It was officially incorporated as a municipality in 1850. In the 1890s, oil was discovered to be a natural resource of the land. Growth in the area naturally exploded, and Los Angeles became the first municipal ordinance in the United States with residential areas barring industry. With the addition of the Los Angeles Aqueduct of 1913 and the entertainment industry booming around 1910 in Hollywood, Los Angeles became forever prominent.
Serving pizza is what Fresh Brothers does, and we couldn't be more honored to provide healthy, all-natural pizza made with fresh, organic, and locally-grown ingredients to any community other than that of Los Angeles. While we love a lot of things about this eccentric and fun city, our favorite out of all of them will always be the people who live here. We enjoy serving this urban area because of the spunky, fun, and friendly residents that call Los Angeles home. There's many districts and neighborhoods, and it's hard to classify such a diverse population — however, this has made the people here cultured, kind, and accepting. In general, crowded L.A. has outgoing, talkative residents. Many artists and performers reside here, and people often have big personalities.
If you're looking for a place that will keep you busy, Los Angeles is the city for it. Known for nightlife, cultural centers, and attractions that are one of a kind, there is truly always something happening here. Visitors enjoy engaging in Los Angeles history, especially via the Hollywood Sign, Hollywood Boulevard, and the many museums, including the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, Skirball Cultural Center, Autry Museum, and Los Angeles Maritime Museum. There's also plenty of art and installations to be seen, including the Griffith Observatory that overlooks all of L.A., The Broad, the Hammer Museum, the La Brea Tar Pits, and the Getty Center & Villa. Tourists often stop by the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Capitol Records Building, LACMA, and the Dolby Theatre.
Fresh Brothers believes in feel-good pizza, and that means going beyond the pie. In addition to providing out neighborhoods with nutritious, all-natural pizza, we also play an active role in the community. Each year, we donate thousands of pizzas, helping to raise money for schools, veterans, and nonprofits. Serving up happiness, one slice at a time.Learn More
