Why We Love Newport Beach
Newport Beach is a bustling, coastal area in Orange County. This three mile stretch has the Newport Harbor to one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. Its harbor once supported the maritime industries, but overtime, the area has become increasingly residential and used for recreation. The Balboa Peninsula attracts many visitors in Newport Beach, where tourists access the waterfront via ferry and spend the day on the beach. "The Wedge" it creates is known as one of the best for bodysurfing. Along the pier is the McFadden Square, where local fishermen bring in fresh catches daily. This city is full to the brim with rich history alongside tourist attractions, and it's easy to see why Fresh Brothers loves being here.
This area is known for its outdoorsy pastimes. Around here, you can visit Corona del Mar State Beach, with its Lookout Point and Inspiration Point, both known for their scenic views. Additionally, there's the Buck Gully Reserve, Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve, and the Upper Newport Bay State Marine Conservation Area. However, there's plenty to do inside too: Newport sports the Heroes Hall Museum, Discovery Cube's Ocean Quest, Newport Harbor Nautical Museum, Balboa Island Museum & Historical Society, and Southern CA Art Projects and Exhibitions at SCAPE. Along the beach, there's both the Balboa and Newport piers, along with the ExplorOcean Balboa Arcade. For nighttime entertainment, check out the Gourmet Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, Improv City, and Improv Collective.
