Traditional meats come with a lot of stuff that isn't, well, meat. Everything used here at Fresh Brothers is real and ethically-sourced.

The Fresh Brothers Story

The Fresh Brothers story starts in Chicago with the Goldberg brothers, Adam and Scott. Scott opened the Miller Pizza Company in 1985, embracing Chicago-style pizza. With the goal of taking Chicago to the coast, brother Adam and his wife Debbie opened the first Fresh Brothers in SoCal in 2008. They combined their family recipes with fresh ingredients, putting a California twist on traditional pizza. This old-school pizza with upgraded nutrition was a hit, and Fresh Brothers only grew from there.

Why We Love Pasadena

Located just northeast of downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena is a Californian city that bridges city life with the great outdoors. Its residents enjoy a Mediterranean climate that has year-round mild weather, with slightly hotter summers and cooler winters. Due to being a bit further inland and nestled into the mountains, Pasadena enjoys more rainfall and seasonal changes than its more-coastal neighbors. This city offers a little bit of everything, which is why Fresh Brothers loves it so much. This community enjoys shopping along the 21 blocks of downtown Old Town Pasadena, and joins together for the Rose Bowl Flea Market each month. Pasadena's main event is the Tournament of Roses Parade, held each year around New Year's Day since 1890. The parade is just to celebrate nice weather, growing fruits, and flourishing flowers despite it being winter! Most of all, Pasadena is called home by such incredible people, and Fresh Brothers couldn't be more proud to serve this area.

Pasadena is a city located in north Los Angeles County, just eleven miles from the iconic Downtown Los Angeles area. You may be familiar with Pasadena from its many nicknames, including City of Roses, Crown City, and Rose Town, among others. It's the ninth largest city in L.A. County with just over 140,000 people living there, and is seen as the primary cultural center of the expansive San Gabriel Valley. Pasadena has unique geographical borders, bounded by the Raymond Fault line, San Rafael Hills, and the San Gabriel Mountains. It also contains the Arroyo Seco seasonal river, which flows with water from the Angeles National Forest greenbelt. Because of nearby mountains, Pasadena receives several more inches of rainfall than its nearby neighbors.

Pasadena's name originates from the indigenous Chippewa word meaning "Crown of the Valley." It was part of a Mexican land grant named Rancho del Rincon de San Pascual, and was later annexed with California's territories in 1848. Between 1886 and 1941, Pasadena boomed as a resort town due to a convenient Santa Fe Railway stop, great tourist hotels, and an escape from East Coast winter – all of which drove its exponential growth. During the same time, Pasadena's population increased as residents occupied its newly-built American Craftsman-style homes. Following the Second World War, Pasadena became a hub for high tech manufacturing and scientific research companies. Seeing significant growth in various sectors, Pasadena offered endless opportunities that eventually led to its large, inspirational immigrant community.

We at Fresh Brothers adore Pasadena for a lot of reasons, but none of them quite top the people. Pasadena is a melting-pot of different cultures, with large communities of African-Americans, Chinese, Japanese, Phillipino, and Latinx people. The residents of Pasadena prioritize arts and culture like no other, as greatly represented by their vibrant downtown area. Somewhere between a bustling city and a scenic mountain town, Pasadena's population is well-rounded with a variety of interests. You'll catch them enjoying the beautiful outdoors just as often as you will see them pioneering art on PasadenART Weekend! And don't forget; Pasadena has many sports fanatics. Join them in cheering on the UCLA Bruins during a home game, and you'll see just all of the energy this city has to offer!

Pasadena is the place to visit for a calm and relaxing stay full of quaint adventures. There are a number of museums and historic landmarks to walk through, including the Norton Simon Museum, interactive Kidspace Children's Museum, and the Gamble House. Pasadena is also full of incredible outdoor spaces, like the Descanso Gardens, and nearby Los Angeles County Arboretum. There are plenty of spots you'll want to stop for pictures as well, like public art installations including "The Pasadena Way," "Two Urns," "Window With Ball," "Quetzalcoatl," "Sign of the Time," and more! And of course, you can't forget to stop by Old Pasadena – a historic shopping and entertainment area filled with top-tier eateries – and catch a football game or two at the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium!

Our Community

Fresh Brothers believes in feel-good pizza, and that means going beyond the pie. In addition to providing out neighborhoods with nutritious, all-natural pizza, we also play an active role in the community. Each year, we donate thousands of pizzas, helping to raise money for schools, veterans, and nonprofits. Serving up happiness, one slice at a time.
